

Esterina (Esther) Cifelli, 92, of Florham Park, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2013. Visitation will be at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, NJ on Friday, January 3, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held at Holy Family Church, 1 Lloyd Ave., Florham Park, NJ, on Saturday, January 4, 2013 at 10 am. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington, NJ.
Esterina was born in Castelpetroso, Province of Isernia, Italy. In 1946, she married her childhood sweetheart, Antonio, and in 1953, she immigrated to Newark, NJ, later living in Irvington and Maplewood, before moving to Florham Park.
A parishioner of Holy Family Church for many years, Esterina loved her Catholic faith and her Italian heritage. Above all, she adored her family, to whom she gave all her attention and love freely and generously.
Esterina is predeceased by her beloved husband, Antonio, and cherished son, Robert. She is also predeceased by her brother, Alessio Cifelli, and sister, Emily D’Uva. She is survived by her devoted son, Frank Cifelli and wife, Mary Ellen, of Florham Park; loving daughter, Anna and husband, Francesco Isgro, of McLean, VA; granddaughters, Erin and husband, Sal DiBenardo, Cara and husband, Stephen Palomba, Kristin and husband, David Hughes, Marina Isgro and Angelica Isgro; and great-grandchildren, Grace, Nicholas, Anthony and Robbie. She is also survived by her sister, Alba Cifelli, sister-in-law, Josephine Cifelli, and many nieces and nephews. She was also blessed with the compassionate devotion of her caretaker, Consuelo Gonzalez.
