

She was born March 4, 1924, in Newark, NJ to Antonio and Maddalena Addotta.She married Jerry J. LiSanti in 1953. They moved to Irvington, NJ in 1956 where they lived for many years, until her move to West Orange, NJ in 1999.
Gerry was a devout member of the Rosary Society at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Irvington and a dedicated parishioner of St. Raphael’s Parish in Livingston NJ.
Above all, Gerry was a devoted wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother and great-grandmother, and dedicated sister. She is predeceased by her husband Jerry LiSanti and their daughter Patricia. She is dearly missed by her surviving daughter Theresa Bonagura and her husband Nick of West Orange, NJ. Her grandchildren Kristopher Gerard Bonagura and his wife Leah of Caldwell, NJ, Matthew Nicholas Bonagura and his partner Savana of Lynn, Massachusetts, Jerilyn Ann Santangelo (Bonagura) and her husband Anthony of West Orange, NJ, and her great-granddaughter Angelina Patricia Bonagura of Caldwell, NJ.
She has joined her loving family members in Heaven. Along with her parents, she was welcomed by her sisters Benedetta Coviello of New Providence, NJ, Josephine Lopes of Point Pleasant, NJ, Rose Santangelo of Union NJ, Kay Notillo of Oxford, NJ, Antoinette Marino of Newark, NJ, and her brothers Joseph Addotta of Springfield, NJ, and Frank Addotta of Berkley Heights, NJ. In addition, she is dearly missed by a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
Gerry was a fun-loving spirit always the life of a party. She could be found on the dance floor or sharing jokes and funny stories; she so loved to make others laugh. She never missed an opportunity to go to A.C. and try her luck. She was a great cook and baker and loved to share her delicious baked goods with her friends and family members. She was young at heart and loved to solve puzzles, play games, jump rope, and beat her children’s friends at Jacks. Everyone loved when she was part of the competition. She enjoyed the Jersey Shore, however, the crabs may not have enjoyed her visits. Among her many talents was gifting her family members with her beautiful crocheted blankets in her famous chevron pattern. Gerry lived a family-centered life; she loved us deeply and would fight fiercely to protect us.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 28, 2022, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston NJ. Mass will be held on Monday, August 29 at St. Joseph’s Church, 44 Benvenue Avenue, West Orange, NJ at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, NJ.
