Keith Hines

Keith was born on November 16, 1954, in Plainfield, NJ, to parents, Ordell and Theresa (Daniels) Hines. He graduated from Union High in 1973. Honoring a promise made to his brother, Keith went on to establish a career as an Auto mechanic. He also worked at Sears for 10 years, and Carnevale’s Gulf in Livingston for 35 years. He was heavily involved with organizations in Livingston for many years, like the Livingston Committee for Diversity. Keith was a Deacon at First Baptist Millburn for a number of years. His love of His Lord Jesus Christ was evident to all who knew him. His often heard phrase when asked how he was doing was ‘I’m Blessed!’

Keith was always known for his friendliness, helpfulness and generosity

Keith was predeceased by his brothers, Kenny and Ronald Hines; and sister, Joan Hines.

Keith is survived by his wife, Carol Hines; mother, Theresa Hines; and brother, Lamont Hines.

A visitation will be held at First Baptist Church-Milburn, 132 Spring St, Millburn, NJ 07041, US, on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM, followed by a funeral at 11:00AM. A committal service will take place at Heavenly Rest Memorial Park, Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936, US, on March 10, 2026, at 12:30PM.

A repast will follow the interment at First Baptist Church, Millburn. All are invited  and encouraged to attend as we celebrate the life of Keith Hines.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to First Baptist Church, Millburn, for a love gift to his wife, Carol.
