Linda A. Heitman

Teacher and resident of West Orange, NJ

June 15, 1947-July 1, 2022

Linda A. Heitman passed away peacefully at The Complete Care Nursing Facility in Cedar Grove NJ on July 1, 2022 after a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was predeceased by her mother, Jeanette Morand. She is survived by cousins Sue Short of Long Valley NJ, Rita Rizzuto of Roseland NJ, Patti Gawler of Columbia SC, Paul Rizzuto of Rockaway NJ and Ricky Morand of Port St Lucie, FL.

Linda was a 50 year resident of West Orange NJ where she taught for 33 years in the public school system. She obtained her BS and Master of Arts degrees from Seton Hall University. Linda loved teaching and especially enjoyed science. She was an avid tennis player. Linda loved to travel and travelled extensively throughout the United States and Europe. Linda was an animal lover and had several dogs and cats throughout her life. She was an avid Yankee, NY Giant, and NASCAR fan and spent many hours watching them on television.

Linda will be remembered for her sense of humor, quick wit, and love of life.

Services will be held at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mount Pleasant Ave, Livingston, NJ and burial will be at The Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover NJ.
