Louis A. DeMeo

Louis A. DeMeo 90, of West Orange, NJ, passed away on Monday, June 30th, 2025. He passed peacefully at the New Jersey Firemen’s Home in Boonton, NJ.

Louis served as a Captain in the West Orange Fire Department before his retirement in 1987. Prior to joining the Fire Department, Louis served 2 years in the Army and as a letter carrier in the Orange, NJ Post Office. He also worked at Quinn-Hopping and Codey Funeral Homes.

Louis was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (nee Manna). Louis leaves behind sons Anthony and his wife Pilar of East Hanover, Robert of West Orange and Michael of Manheim Pa. Grandchildren Anthony DeMeo Jr., Dana Slocum and Great Granddaughter Gia Slocum. He is predeceased by his siblings John DeMeo, Ferdinand DeMeo, Concetta Tancredi, Carmella Pisano, Anthony DeMeo, Michael DeMeo and Rose Machetti.

Visitation will be held at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, on Monday, July 7th from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 8th at St. Philomena R.C. Church, 396 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover.
