Mary L. Christiano

Mary L. (nee: Metta) Christiano, 85, loving mother and devoted grandmother, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at her residence in Livingston surrounded by her loving family.Mary’s generous spirit and kind heart were an inspiration to her family and friends.

Her children will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, 8:30 to 10 AM followed by the Funeral Mass celebrating her life at St. Philomena’s Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston. The committal service will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

Born in Newark, she lived in Orange moving to Livingston 50 years ago. She was a member of St. Philomena’s Church as well as its Rosary Altar Society. Mary was also a member of Our Lady’s Rosary Makers, the Friends of St. Padre Pio, and the Livingston Senior Citizens.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Stephen in 1992, she is survived by her devoted children Bill and his wife Marybeth, Julie Minish and her loving grandchildren Stephen, Shannon and Kristin; she is also survived by her brothers Domenic, Philip and Amelio Metta.
