Born in Orange, New Jersey, Meredith spent most of her life in Livingston. She attended Livingston High School and graduated from C. W. Post Campus of Long Island University. Shortly after her graduation she started her career as a paralegal at the law firm of Soriano, Henkel, Biehl & Matthews, where she worked for 30 years until she moved to the firm of Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg in 2022 with her father and her sister. The time she spent working with her family members was a source of great pride and joy.
Meredith is survived by her loving daughter, Alie Morgan LeFrancis, her parents, Lorayne Matthews and Thomas Matthews (Maureen), her sisters Adrienne Matthews Simeone (Richard) and Peggy Matthews, her brother Tommy Matthews, her husband Louis LeFrancis and a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. Meredith enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her annual trips to Wildwood and at the Matthews Family Reunions. Known for her generous, humorous and thoughtful nature, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
