Natalie was born on October 26, 1922 in Torrington, CT to the late Henry V. Rebillard and Alma Klebes Rebillard. She graduated from Torrington High School, Class of 1940.
Natalie married the love of her life, Gordon Alexander Fergusson, on April 28, 1945 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Torrington. They had a long and loving marriage for fifty-three years prior to Gordon’s passing in 1998.
Natalie and Gordon initially settled in Caldwell, NJ. In 1953, they purchased their first home on Riker Hill Road in Livingston where she lived until 2022. She loved her home and always looked forward to decorating it beautifully during each Christmas season.
Natalie and Gordon owned Gordon Fergusson Interior Decorators which they operated for many years. After they retired, they sold the business to long-time employee, Gary Ruesch, who continues to run a very successful interior design business. Natalie was always so grateful that Gary has continued their legacy and maintained the Fergusson name.
Natalie and Gordon were active, long-time members of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Livingston. Well into her 90’s, Natalie worked tirelessly in the church’s Thrift Shop. In 2015, she was among the honorees of the David P. Hegg II Lifetime Achievement Award bestowed by the Newark, NJ Episcopal Diocese.
Natalie was predeceased by her husband Gordon, her nephew James Fergusson and close family friend, Hugh Albanesius.
She is survived by her nieces, Jean Carter (Mark), Kristin Grecco, Linda Reeves, nephew Robert Fergusson, Goddaughters, Susan Foley-Pieri and Susan Higgins, Godson, Jon Albanesius, sister-in-law Dorothea Fergusson and dear friends Mary Curtis, Betty Albanesius and Laurie Mott. Auntie Lee was loved by many and her passing is truly the end of an era.
The family would also like to acknowledge the compassionate care Natalie received from Visiting Angels homecare, and later at Inglemoor Care Center where she resided for the past three years.
