Internationally acclaimed poet Paul Frank Lenzi, 68 of Henniker, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2018. Visiting hours will be July 20, 2018 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home in Livingston, NJ. A mass will be held on July 21, 2018 at 10am at St. Philomena Roman Catholic Church in Livingston, NJ. Paul was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey of Italian immigrant parents. He was a Rutgers University alumnus where he studied philosophy, ethics and political science. After a successful career in New Jersey and New York as an insurance executive, he retired early to rural New Hampshire where he published five chapbooks and eighteen full length poetry collections to wide acclaim. His poems have appeared in the anthologies "Great Poems of the Western World" and "Swear to Me." His work has also appeared in the Rutgers University literary journal, and in various periodicals, including the literary magazines "New Hampshire Troubadour," "Touchstone," and "Praxis." Paul authored a popular daily poetry blog entitled "Poesy plus Polemics" which enjoyed a large international following. He collaborated with more than 100 international poets as a member of "Poets for Peace" and was a member of the Academy of American Poets, the Poetry Society of America, the Poetry Society of New Hampshire, the Poetry Society of Vermont, and the Maine Poets Society.
Son of the late Paul Hector Lenzi and Edith (Aida) DeTore, brother to the late Thomas Lenzi. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Janice (Lukaszewski) Lenzi, sister Deena LaMotta, sister-in-law Lucille Lenzi. Two daughters, one son: Kimberly (Lenzi) and Jeffrey Schnitzer of Allen TX, Nicole (Lenzi) and Gregory Gage of Newbury, NH, Paul and Yvette (Maxwell) Lenzi of Bethlehem, NJ. 10 grandchildren: Steven Schnitzer, Tyler Schnitzer, Emily Schnitzer, Garrison Gage, Josiah Gage, Aida Gage, Baelynn Maxwell, Cody Maxwell, Bryce Lenzi andJustin Lenzi. One Great-Grandchild Savanah Maxwell and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
