Mrs. Regina Weston Carlson

Regina Carlson, 83, of West Orange, died Sunday, December 20, 2009, at Clairmont Nursing Home in Point Pleasant. The family will receive friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Sunday, December 27, 2-6 PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be offered at St. Joseph’s Church, 44 Benvenue Ave., West Orange, on Monday, December 28, at 9:30 AM. The committal service will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your preference. Friends may share their tributes and remembrances with the family at www.mem.comRegina was born in Newark, the daughter of Francis and Ann (Weston) Byrne and had lived in West Orange for over 60 years. She a draftswoman for Zenith Engineering in Livingston for 15 years retiring in 1988. Regina was also a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, West Orange, where she was a Sunday School teacher for over 20 years. She was also a charter member and its first president of the Augustinian Recollect, West Orange.Surviving is her husband for 61 years, Peter R. and her seven sons, Robert, Raymond, Richard, Thomas, Mark, John, and Paul; her siblings, Richard Byrne, Grace Byrne, Terry Weston and she is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
