Dr. Robert M. Restaino Sr.

Robert M. Restaino Sr. DDS, age 75, of Livingston, NJ, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday May 13, 2012. The family will receive their friends at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue Livingston, NJ, on Thursday May 17, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 28 Livingston Avenue in Roseland, NJ, on Friday May 18, 2012 at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park, 77 Deforest Avenue, East Hanover, NJ. Dr. Restaino practiced dentistry for over 40 years before his retirement in 2002. He was a 1958 graduate of the College of The Holy Cross in Worcester MA, and went on to receive his DDS at New Jersey Dental School in Jersey City graduating in 1962. He established two dental offices, first in Belleville, NJ, and later also in South Orange, NJ. Before his retirement, Bob was affiliated with Clara Maas Hospital in Belleville, NJ. Dr. Restaino was a teacher, mentor and caring professional who will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. He was the beloved husband for 37 years to Carole Steirman Restaino, a devoted father of Donna Restaino Levey and her husband Yale, and of Dr. Robert M. Restaino Jr. and his wife Fallon. Bob was a most devoted, loving and proud grandfather - - Poppa of Alexa, Daniel, Gabe and Olivia, and he was a dear brother of Ruthann O’Neill. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to the American Heart Association.
