

Roger N. Ruben, 78, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in Livingston, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Roger was a long time resident of Livingston. He was a graduate of Grover Cleveland High School. Roger was employed as a Funeral Director for 20 years, then worked as a typewriter repair instructor for Adler-Royal Business Machine, and later worked as a crossing guard in Livingston for many years. He was a life-long member of Grace Lutheran Church where he also served as the Property Management Chairman. He was a member of the Livingston Masonic Lodge, and enjoyed camping and fishing.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Ruth. He also leaves behind his loving children Tina Levorse and her husband Mark, Terri Tweedie and her husband Craig, and Wayne and his wife Lisa, as well as his adoring grandchildren Alexis, Sean, John, Kate and Olivia.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28 from 4-8pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, NJ 07039. Funeral service will be offered at Grace Lutheran Church 304 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, NJ on Saturday, November 29 at 10:30am with interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park, E. Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roger’s name may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, or to a charity of your choice.
