Russell “Bert” Parkstrom, 89, of West Orange, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Visitation will be at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Remembrances of Bert will be shared at the funeral home on Monday at 11 AM. The committal service will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
Bert proudly served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers’ International Association Local 25. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (Nevins) Parkstrom. In addition to his sister, Arline O’Malley and many nieces and nephews, he is survived by his dear neighbors, the Ciamillos, the Kyrejkos and the Nunns.
