Salvatore Disteso

Salvatore Disteso, 84, passed away peacefully with is loving family by his side, on Thursday, June 8, 2023. He will be remembered fondly by all that knew him. He was an unconditionally loving, selfless, gentle husband, father, grandfather, and friend to anyone he crossed paths with. He carried an infectious personality, and always lived life with a “glass half full” mentality. Salvatore was also a musician, specifically a pianist. Above all things, Salvatore enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He especially loved taking them to the boardwalk and slipping them money to play all the games ! He loved crabbing, fishing, and especially eating! Sal worked many years as a warehouse manager for Panasonic and later he enjoyed working in the Food service area at Community Hospital in Toms River. Anyone that knew him loved him!

Salvatore was predeceased by loving wife, Angela, his son Sal, his parents, Vincent and Anna Disteso, his sister, Paula Mongelli. He is survived by his loving sons, Vincent and his wife Lisa, Albert and his wife Alicia; his daughter- in -law Heather and his cherished grandchildren, Alexis, Anthony and his husband Corrado, Brianna (Connor), Michael and Andrew.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11 from 4-8 PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Livingston. Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, June 12 at 10:30 AM at St. Raphael’s Church, Livingston, followed by entombment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River, NJ.
