

He was born on December 23, 1928, in Pyongyang, Korea. He and his wife, along with his children immigrated to the United States in 1975 from Seoul, Korea, starting anew in Green Bay, WI, and later residing in Appleton, WI. In 2001, he and his wife and mother-in-law moved to NJ to be closer to the kids.
Over the past 25 years, Yongjin travelled extensively with his wife and other family members, visiting the Caribbean Islands, Hawaii, and various places in Europe. He was a true gentleman through and through, and was a devoted husband to his wife, Hyungshin, for over 60 years, and made wonderful memories together. He was an avid photographer, and as a hobby he took beautiful pictures, particularly of landscapes from all around the world.
He is survived by his wife, Hyungshin Song, son, Frank Song, daughter, Julie Song (Nick Krenteras), and his grandchildren, Nicoleta Krenteras, Daniella Krenteras, and Constantinos Krenteras.
A funeral service will be held at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ 07039, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment at the Fairview Cemetery & Arboretum in Westfield, NJ, 1100 East Broad Street, Westfield, NJ 07090 at 12pm noon the same day.
