Alice Weir

Alice (Eliza) Weir, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 26, 2016 at Longmont United Hospital. She was born on April 16,1932 in Las Vegas, NM to Florencio and Eloisa Lujan. Alice grew up in Ojitos Frios, NM and moved to Longmont in 1948.

Family and friends were extremely important in her life. She enjoyed crocheting and baking, especially Christmas Cookies. Alice loved going to Bingo and taking all of her good luck charms and she looked forward to trips to Blackhawk with the Senior Center. She loved to be on the go and no one was ever a stranger to her.

Alice leaves behind her loving daughters, Claudia (Frank) Hummel, Boulder, Billie Jean Collard, Longmont and Betty (Tom) Danker, Tucson AZ. Precious grandchildren, Chris Hubbard, Greeley, Sheri Collard, Longmont, Nicole (Sean) Cunningham, Cypress TX, Adrian (Casey) Alvarado, Allen TX and David (Danika) Danker of Woodland Park CO. Great grandchildren, Amanda Collard, Marcus Watkins, Darrick, Cordell and Kendall Cunningham and Christian Hoffmann. Siblings, Nacor Lujan, Cirilia Romero, Rose Trujillo, Mary C. Martinez, Ralph Lujan and Paul Lujan all from Longmont and J. Pete Lujan, NM as well as many nieces and nephews and wonderful friends.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her sister Josie Romero, NM and her brother, Benny Lujan, Longmont and her long time companion, Buddy (Steve) Sacks.

A Memorial Mass will take place Wednesday, January 4. 2017 at 11:00 am at St John's Catholic Church, 323 Collyer Street, Longmont. Inurnment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery. Reception will follow immediate after the services.
