Anthony Cecil Villa

Born on September 30, 1947, in Erie, Colorado, Anthony was the cherished son of Tony Villa and Angela S. Gonzales. He graduated from Erie High School in 1966 and proudly served in the United States Army until 1970. After his military service, he earned his Associate’s Degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1973 and went on to enjoy a fulfilling career with IBM, retiring after 25 years of dedicated service.

Anthony met the love of his life, Linda Lou Kissling, in 1964, and they were married on July 8, 1967, in Lafayette, Colorado. Together, they raised a devoted family, welcoming Michael Anthony and Toni Marie.

Anthony was a man of deep faith, actively participating in the Catholic Church, and he cherished time spent with family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, coaching, men’s softball, being involved with 4H, riding his motorcycle, and tending his garden. Above all, he treasured moments with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories full of love and laughter.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Lou Villa; his daughter, Toni Marie Nehls (Dale Nehls), his grandchildren, Taylor James Michael Nehls (Mary Nehls), and Alexis Marie Nehls Jackson (Keenan Jackson), and his great-grandsons, Lawson James Nehls and Beaudon Cecil Jackson. Anthony also leaves behind his siblings Shirley Martinez, Mary Villa, and Bill Villa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony Villa and Angela Gonzales; his brother, John Villa; and his son, Michael Villa.

Anthony’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for his family touched all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Please join us for a reception in celebration of Anthony’s life on Saturday, April 4th, 2026 at The American Legion, 315 S Bowen St., Longmont, Colorado 80501, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., with light appetizers and beverages. In honor of Anthony, please wear brightly colored clothing.
