

Danny Calhoun, 37, of Longmont, Colorado, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at Longmont United Hospital following a sudden illness.Arthur Daniel Calhoun was born July 14, 1970, in Longmont to Ronda Mardan Hancock and Arthur Brisbane Calhoun. He graduated from Erie High School in 1990. He had worked as an injection molder at several area businesses.Danny was an artist who loved to draw; he even designed many of his own tattoos. He was an avid camper and fisherman, enjoyed playing games and watching pro wrestling. He loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his mother, Ronda (Anthony) Julian of Longmont; sister, Stacey Gurnsey of Longmont; brother, Michael (Carmen) Calhoun of Firestone; grandfather, Danny (Doris) Hancock of Laramie, Wyoming; aunts, Pam (Brian) Kloster of Minnesota, and Karen (Kent) Smith of Johnstown; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Danny was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marion Dier Lindlief; aunt, Jody Hancock-Carl; and brother-in-law, Douglas Gurnsey.Visitation will be held at Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services, Longmont, from 3 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008, with the family present from 5-7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Howe Mortuary with David Bradshaw officiating.Memorial donations may be made to the Ed and Ruth Lehman YMCA, 950 Lashley Street, Longmont, CO 80501.Please share thoughts, memories and condolences with his family at www.howemortuary.com.
