

Barbara was born on April 21, 1951, in Longmont to Henry Charles Hobbs and Kathryn Letford Hobbs. She attended school in Longmont, graduating from Longmont High in 1969. She was a Pom-Pom Cheerleader and active in a teenage group in the First Congregational Church.
Barbara and her family lived in Oregon, Indonesia and Iowa following her now ex-husband Doug Bucklew who is a helicopter pilot. After they settled in Portland, Barbara became a flight attendant for the past several years with Horizon Airlines. This gave her the opportunity to travel and visit her numerous friends and family. She was a frequent visitor to Longmont.
Preceding her in death are her parents Kay and Hank and a nephew Michael Henry, and early this year her older brother Bruce Hobbs.
Surviving are her sons Ross and Jeffrey Bucklew and Ross’s fiancé Hillary of Portland; brothers Chuck Hobbs of Stockdale, Texas and Michael Hobbs of Denver and sister Judy Hobbs of Longmont. She is also survived by her nieces Andrea and Alison Henry of Longmont and Carrie and Cassie Hobbs of San Antonio, Texas as well a numerous other relatives.
Her family and friends were very important to Barbara. She had a unique relationship with everyone who was part of her life. She was filled with love and laughter and will be missed by all her friends and family.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 4 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel.
