Barbara Jane Hudson

Barbara Jane Hudson, 57, of Longmont passed away December 31, 2015 at TRU Community Hospice Care Center. She was born August 13, 1958 in Denver, CO to Howard Edward and Doris Erma (Reed) Hudson.Barbara graduated from El Toro High School in El Toro, California where she was a three time All American Swimmer. Her team twice held the American record for the 4 X 100 freestyle relay. She attended Arizona State University on a swimming scholarship, transferred to CU Boulder to finish her BS degree. She also graduated from Glendale Community College with a degree in Landscape Architecture. Barbara was a project manager for Apple Computers, worked in TV production, catering, real estate, and delivering newspapers between jobs. Barbara was a member of LifeBridge Christian Church, she organized walking groups, and enjoyed painting. Barbara was a people gathering person and her work ethic carried on through her whole life.She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew Nathan Schad.Barbara is survived by her brother John David Hudson (Donna), three sisters; Debora Sh maker, Pamela Steinhauser (Alan), Peri Schad (Chris) and numerous nieces and nephews as well as a grandniece and two grand nephews.Memorial service will be 2 PM Tuesday Jan. 5, 2016 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Barbara donated her remains to medical science. Contributions can be made to TRU Community Hospice and sent to 2594 Trailridge Dr. E. Ste A Lafayette, CO 80026.
