Barbara Gene Lee

Barbara “Barb” Gene Lee passed away on April 20, 2026, and entered her eternal home in heaven joining the love of her life, Bill Lee. She was born on October 9th, 1937, in Sarnia, Ontario, to Percy and Ethel Guertin. Barbara moved with her family to Mount Clemens, Michigan when she was 12. Barb grew up in a large family with her brothers Ken, Tom, and Bruce, and her sister Patricia; all preceded her in death. Barb was raised in Ottawa, Canada, and later met William “Bill” Lee, whom she married on May 31, 1958. They settled in the Manassas/Sterling Park, Virginia, area, where they started to build their life and raise their family. The couple later moved to Oklahoma City, and in 1977 relocated to the Longmont area. Barb and Bill’s family consisted of Patricia (husband David Dones), Kathy (husband Rusty Moehle), Michael (wife Michelle), Terese (husband Jim Coats), and Danny (wife Michelle). After raising her family, Barb worked at Valley Lab, a medical equipment company, and retired after 20 years. Bill passed away in April 07, 2010, and Barb continued to enjoy time at home with her children, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Barbara was a genuine light to all who knew her, she shined in social settings and never met a person she did not love. She spent a large amount of time serving the local St. John the Baptist Catholic church both with and without her husband. Her smile and caring soul will be greatly missed.

Catholic Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church on April 29th, 2026 at 10:30AM. A viewing will be held beforehand at 10:00AM the same day.
