

Barbara Joy Webster, of Lyons, Colorado, passed peacefully with her family by her side on June 2, 2019 in Longmont, Colorado.Barbara was born on July 27, 1942 in Elmwood, Nebraska to Alvin and Ardis (Debban) Vantine. Her family moved to Lyons, Colorado in 1952, and in 1956, when she was 14 and he was 16, she met the love of her life, Larry. They instantly became inseparable, and in 1957, decided to marry (everyone swore it wouldn't last) and raise a family. They had 4 beautiful babies.Barbara could accomplish anything she set her mind to do. She and her husband enjoyed muzzle-loading. She was an avid shooter and holds several pistol shooting records in Colorado and Wyoming. She had a passion for painting and bead working, but most of all, Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and loved all her children, grand and great-grandchildren dearly. She was known for her quick wit and wicked sense of humor, her beautiful, infectious smile, and her generous, kind and compassionate spirit. She was deeply and dearly loved and will be deeply and dearly missed.She is survived by her husband of 62 wonderful years, Larry; her daughter, Darlene; her grandchildren, Nathan, Michael, David, Christie, Amanda, Valerie and Larry; 16 great- grandchildren; her brother, Jim; sister, Margaret and families; her brother-in-law, Stephen and family; and sister-in-law, Sharon.She is preceded in death by her children, Terry, Denise (DeDe), and Dennell; her father, Alvin; her mother, Ardis; her sister, Lola; and her parents-in-law, Dwight and Margarite. At her request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT and TRU Hospice Community Care, Lafayette, CO.
