

BELDEANE ELIZABETH CHOATENovember 24, 1924 - May 7, 2009Beldeane Elizabeth Choate (Beanie) passed away at the Peaks Care Center in Longmont on May 7, 2009. Beanie was born in Trinidad, Colorado to Maximillian and Violet Rose (Flaiz) Franch and resided in Trinidad until she moved to Silver City, NM in 1999. In 2004, Beanie moved to the Peaks Care Center in Longmont.Beanie retired as the business manager at Mt. San Rafael Hospital in Trinidad after a twenty-year career. She loved family gatherings, rides in the mountains, Monument Lake, playing cards, and birthday parties. Her embroidered, crocheted and beaded works were beautiful and welcomed gifts. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her and loved her.Beanie met Roy Cleo Choate when she was 13 years old and they were married in August, 1942 when she was 17. From that marriage, six children were born –Gwenyth Jean Ghesquiere (Steve) of Longmont; Cheryl Ann LePlatt (Gary) of South Dakota; Linda Lee LeNeve (Dave) of Longmont; Ronald Dean Choate of Westminster; Donald Lee Choate (Suzie) of Trinidad; and Roy Cleo Choate (Alecia). Beanie was very proud of her 17 grandchildren – Candace Caveza (Dennis) of Littleton; Brian LePlatt (Sabrina) of Rawlins, WY; Shelley Cross (Don) of Heathrow, FL; Wendy Lacy (Mark) of Loveland; Dean LeNeve (Lauren) of New York City; Ron Carl and Greg Choate of Westminster; Joshua Choate (Antoinette) of Trinidad; Michael Choate of Castle Rock; DezaRae LaCrue (Daniel) of Denver; Christopher, Roy Kyle (Tonette), Ashley, and Seth Choate and Liliana Trapp of Pueblo, and Eric and Amy Ghesquiere of Longmont.Beanie was also blessed with 23 great grandchildren who were all lucky to get to know her and be a part of her life. She was known as ""Grandma Beanie"" to the children of the staff at the Peaks Care Center. Also surviving are sisters Maxine Filer of Pueblo, Velma Corradino (Bud) of Trinidad, Junetta DeBono (Pete) of Trinidad, Gaylene Schlageter (Marv) of Fort Collins, and brothers Eugene of Denver, Gerald (Nancy) of Trinidad, Ken (Florence) of Broomfield and Gary (Nora) of Texas. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Alice Miesner of Beaverton, OR and numerous nieces and nephews. Beanie was preceded in death by an infant sister, her sister Charlene Franch and grandson Jordan Choate.Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 3:30 P.M. at Murphy Mullare Funeral Home in Trinidad, Colorado. A memorial service will also be held at the Peaks Care Center in Longmont at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Beldeane E. Choate Memorial Fund through Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, CO, 80501.
