

Bradley Perry Light passed away 01/07/2025 peacefully surrounded by love after a very courageous and hard fought battle with cancer. He was a big man with a big heart. He was known too some as Griz, others referred to him as Dude. He had a great sense of humor and was truly a kind and happy man with a generous laugh. He was passionate about good food, video games, Hawaiian shirts, and the Denver Broncos.
Brad was born to Dennis and Iola (Schulte) Light in Denver on June 22, 1954 and spent most of his life in Colorado. He was educated at St John’s Catholic School, Holy Cross Abbey, Front Range Community College, CSU and CU. He had several careers. He was a Union Pipefitter (Local 192), Air Traffic Controller (PATCO), Miller Beer Salesman, and for the last 18 years he worked in the Boulder County Clerk & Recorders Election Division.
He leaves behind his wife and companion of 42 years Mollie Wright and his beloved dog Coco Chanel. Sister Denise (Ken) Sumikawa, Sister-in-laws Jamie Meyers, and Angel Nitzel, Brother-in-Laws Shane and Quinton Wright, Aunt Patricia Soukup, nephews, nieces, many cousins and friends.
If attending his memorial please feel free to wear Hawaii attire, Denver Broncos gear or whatever is comfortable. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Tru Hospice at Longmont Community Hospital as they provided Brad with wonderful care and kindness at the end of his life. Messages of condolence to his family can be sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel Friday 02/07/2025 at 10:00am with a reception to follow. The service will be livestream for those can't make it. https://www.ckpmediaservices.com/live
