Buzz Goldman

Buzz Goldman, passed away at his home in Longmont on Friday, December 14, 2012 with his family by his side. He was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa on June 9, 1952. His family moved to Greeley in 1963 where he graduated from Greeley West High School in 1970. After he graduated he returned to Iowa for a short period of time to be with family and friends he had left behind. On his return to Colorado, he lived in Greeley until he moved to Longmont in 2000.Buzz worked for Colorado Pipe Line while in Greeley and remained employed by Floyd Oliver, Jr. until he retired earlier this year because of his health.In his lifetime he made a home for many animals and several Irish Setters. He is survived by his latest best friend, Red, that loved to travel with him in his pickupBuzz was preceded in death by his father, Duane Goldman of Oskaloosa, IA.Buzz is survived by his mother and step-father, Carl and Marjorie (Marge) Ropp of Cheyenne, WY; his step-mother Virginia (Lambie) Snedden Goldman of Brighton, CO; his sisters Sherilyn (Sherry) Goldman, Rock Island, IL, Marilyn Goldman, Longmont, Nancy (Jeff) Vitale of Greeley, Becky (Mike) Knighton of Greeley; and the love of his life Virginia Nelles, and her children, James Nelles III, Chicago, Stephen Nelles, Sausalito, CA, and Jennifer Nelles, Chicago; his step brothers and sisters, Carl J. Ropp of Estes Park, Teresa Romsberg of Provo, UT, Sara Weber of Cheyenne, and Edward Ropp of Westminster. Buzz is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children.A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday December 19, 2012 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 803 3rd Avenue Longmont, CO 80501.
