

Al Sherran died peacefully at 4:50pm on December 14th, 2015 in Lafayette, CO. He was 84 years old. He was born in Harrison, NY and graduated from Harrison High School. Al joined the US Army shortly after graduation and served as a Staff Sergeant in Korea during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge from the service, he attended Kent State University in Kent, Ohio where he received his BS in Business Administration. While attending Kent State, he met the love of his life, the former Carol Hess. They were married in 1959. He was the owner of Valley View Liquor store in Boulder, CO for 25 years. Al loved traveling, live theater and gatherings with family and friends. He had been a member of the Elks Club, Kiwanis Club and The Anglican Fellowship of Prayer. He is survived by Carol, his wife of 56 years from Broomfield, CO, their son, Joseph Sherran from Boulder, CO, their daughter, Lori Apple from Louisville, CO and three grandkids: Erin Apple from Seattle, WA, and Jaxon Apple and Jayme Apple of Louisville, CO. Cremation was arranged by Howe Mortuary in Longmont. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Wounded Warriors Project or The Salvation Army. A memorial service with a reception following will be held at Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St, Longmont, CO at 7:00pm on Monday, December 21, 2015.
