
Charlie was born at Boulder Community Hospital in Boulder, Colorado on December 10th, 1981 to Sandra and Charles Chuck Kutscher. Sandy and Chuck divorced in 1985. Sandy moved to Lyons, Colorado with her two children. In 1986 Sandy met Kevin Kerwin. Kevin immediately fell in love with Sandy, Charlie and Kelly. Charlie was the ring bearer at the wedding of Kevin and Sandy. Charlie was a wonderful child. He was inquisitive, trusting, and had a heart of gold. Charlie attended Lyons elementary and Jr. High school.Charlie worked at Bison Design building rock climbing supplies. In 2004, he was diagnosed with MS and he spent the majority of that year in a wheelchair. He did not give up and continued to fight until he was using a cane. He suffered relapses over the years which made him have to use a cane. When he was able, he would work, hike, fish, and spend time outdoors with his wife and son. On September 17th, 2007 his life would change forever with the birth of his son Timothy. Charlie made a promise to him that he would always put Timothy before anything else. A promise that he kept until his passing. Charlie received his GED in 2014. It was one of his proudest moments that was shared with his parents Kevin and Sandy, and his son Timothy. Charlie was a free spirit. He was headstrong, proud and could be argumentative. However, he would always help someone who needed it, with whatever he had. He was a devoted father and son.Charlie was a Handyman by trade. He worked in Longmont and the surrounding areas. In 2017, Charlie and his girlfriend, Angel, became married by common law in 2017. They were together until his passing. Charlie is survived by his son Timothy; wife Angel; parents Kevin and Sandy; a sister Kelly (Dee); three brothers: Ben Kutscher, Michael Kerwin, and Will Kerwin; and nephews Seth Weiss and Matthew Weiss. He will be in the hearts of all his friends.A celebration of Charlie's life will take place 4:00 pm Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Journey Church, 2000 Pike Road in Longmont.
