Charlotte Alice Schneider

Charlotte Alice Schneider, formerly of Dacono, CO, died at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs on October 9, 2007. She was 82.Charlotte was born June 26, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri to William and Nellie Mae (Aubuchon) Smee. Charlotte grew up and attended school in St. Louis. She married Charles Albert Schneider on December 24, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri. Charlotte was a manager for Vandervoorts Department Store in St. Louis for 10 years. She worked for BC Services then for over 30 years in the Longmont area. Charlotte was a baseball fan who supported the St. Louis Cardinals and the Colorado Rockies. She also was the head of a large family, looking after and caring for them. Her family was very important to her. Charlotte was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Charles Kenneth Schneider, three brothers, and two sisters.She is survived by four sons: Richard Allen (Lorretta) Schneider of Thornton, CO, George Albert (Stephanie) Schneider of Colorado Springs, CO, Roy Edward Schneider of Colorado Springs, and James Earl (Dorothy) Schneider of Firestone, CO; two daughters: Jacqueline Marie Schneider and Margaret Louise Schneider both of Colorado Springs, a sister, Nellie Mae Ledford of Utah, 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 13 at Howe Mortuary. A celebration of Charlotte?s life by the family will begin at 6:00 on Saturday followed by a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Bob Howard of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church as leader. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 15 at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
