Cheryl Ann Brown

Cheryl Ann Brown of Longmont, died September 3, 2008 at Longmont United Hospital. She was 41.Cheryl was born to Ronald Brown and Kathleen Murphy Brown on July 2, 1967 in Seattle, Washington. Cheryl grew up in Happy Valley, in the Santa Cruz, CA area, and was President of the Happy Valley 4-H Club. Throughout elementary school, Junior High and on into high school, Cheryl enjoyed playing soccer.Cheryl graduated from California Polytechnic University, in Mechanical Engineering, with honors. She went to work for Seagate Technology, in Scotts Valley, in the disc drive division. Changing careers, she moved to Longmont and joined the mortgage industry as a broker.Cheryl loved Colorado and became fond of the Rocky Mountains. She frequently took hikes in the area, enjoying her quiet time to exercise and reflect. She looked forward to her visits from her nieces, either in California or here. Her constant companion was her dog, Lita.Surviving are her parents of Santa Cruz, a brother Nathan Brown and his wife Dawn Baxter, a grandmother Bessie Brown of Santa Cruz and two nieces Grace and Gillian Brown.A cremation has been entrusted to the Howe Mortuary and Crematory.Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel with Chaplain Susan Warren of Hospice of Boulder and Broomfield Counties officiating.
