Clara Marie Graham

Clara Marie Graham of Longmont, died May 19, 2007 at her home. She was 97.Clara was born on April 15, 1910 in Mexico, Missouri to Charles Morris Holtcamp and Mary Cordelia Harvey. She moved to northern Colorado in 1913 near Waverly where her father farmed and ranched. She graduated from Waverly High School. On March 28, 1931 she married Roscoe Graham. Ross and Clara farmed in the Mead area for many years, before retiring to Longmont in 1960. She enjoyed being a farmer?s wife; helping with the chores and raising her family there.Clara was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mead and their Ladies Aid Club. She enjoyed cooking and canning, often putting on large meals for harvest crews and the family for holidays. She was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed making clothes for her children and grandchildren. Clara enjoyed traveling with her family and spending time tending her flower gardens at home. She also enjoyed painting as a hobby creating many works of art in her free time. She loved to care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was always there for them.Preceding her in death were her husband, Ross; two children, Lois Claus and Robert Graham; a daughter-in-law, Francie Graham; and a brother Otis Holtcamp.Surviving are a son-in-law Clayton Claus of Douglas, Wyoming; grandchildren William (Lindy) Claus of Arvada, Cheryl (Jerry) Barcelona of Berthoud, David (Francie) Claus of Douglas, Wyoming, Sandra (Bill) Hopson of Gillette, Wyoming, Shelli Michener of Longmont, Karen (Dan) Zawacki of Erie, and Michael (Marni) Graham of Mead; a brother Charles (Shirley) Holtcamp, Clovis, New Mexico, a sister Dorothy (Garreth) Bowen, Cheyenne, Wyoming, and 15 great grandchildren. A cremation has been entrusted to the Howe Mortuary and Crematory.Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 26, at the Howe Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Millard Fairchild of United Methodist Church of Mead officiating.Contributions may be made to ElderCare Connections, 1349 N.
