

Conrad Garcia, 84, formerly of Colorado Springs, died December 12, 2014 in Longmont, Colorado. He was born January 10, 1930 in Colorado Springs, CO, to Alfredo and Dolores Garcia. Following his high school graduation he went on to enlist in the United States Air Force. After his honorable discharge he settled back in Colorado Springs and his career as an optician.
On June 3, 1950 Conrad married Delores Griffin in Severn, Maryland. They lived in Colorado Springs for most of their lives, as well as Gunnison, Colorado for a period of 10 years, until moving to Longmont earlier this year.
Conrad enjoyed playing golf, loved music, playing his guitar and was known to sing Karaoke, but more than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed taking care of his yard and while living in Colorado Springs had received the yard of the week award on numerous occasions.
Survivors include his wife Delores of Longmont and his sons Ricky Conrad Garcia and his wife Kathrine of Gunnison, CO. He is further survived by his sister Lucy Vallejos of Denver and his grandchildren Sarah (Jayson) McMurren of Longmont and Garrison (Joanie Grant) Garcia of Flagstaff, AZ and his great grandchildren Asher McMurren and Callan Conrad McMurren. He is also survived by his niece Madeline Vallejos and his nephew Alvin Vallejos and scores of other nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St. Longmont, CO. 80501 Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
