Cynthia Lee Madisen was born on October 26, 1933 to Anor and Arlene Madisen. She became Cynthia Madisen Lofgren when she married Frank William Lofgren Jr. in 1955. Cindy was an only child who enjoyed the love and special attention she received from her parents, grandparents and Aunt Jess and Uncle Jim. Though she never said so, her best childhood friend was most likely Patty, the family Irish settler, with whom she competed to have room on the bed they shared. After growing up in Denver, Cindy went to Denver University in 1950, where she cherished being a Delta Gamma, and where she met her one and only. She and Frank were married in 1955, and soon after, when Frank was a pilot in the Air Force, they had their first daughter, Valerie. In 1957, Cindy, Frank, and Val (taking a new litter of kittens with them) moved to Longmont, Colorado, where Frank would become an air traffic controller, and where later they would have two more children, Kenneth (1963) and Pamela (1966). She is survived by Frank, Valerie, Tom, Kenneth, Pamela, and her two grandchildren Brooks and Alec, all of whom she taught to love unconditionally, laugh when you feel like crying, and appreciate the small things in life. Private family services were held. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Visit www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com to share condolences.
