

March 22, 1968 in Loveland, Colorado to Margaret (Houchin) and Raymond Welch. Following his high
school graduation, Damond served in the United States Air Force. He spent his working career as a
security officer with the Department of Energy.
Damond enjoyed cars, Harley’s and riding motorcycles. He will be remembered as a loving family
man, enjoying the time spent camping, taking family vacations and simply being in the company of
those he loved.
Surviving are his father Raymond Welch (Myrna) of Johnstown, CO, his mother Margaret Merris
(John) of Fort Collins, CO, his wife Bobbi Jo (Laux) Welch and his daughters Grayson and Emma of
Johnstown. He is further survived by his brothers David Welch and Dennis Welch of Wellington, CO,
Darren Welch (Ashley) of Severence, CO, Doug Welch (Kim) of Wheatland, WY and Desmond Welch
(Adrienne) of Eaton, CO and his sister Deanna Brown (Pete) of Evans, CO.
Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services, Longmont.
A Celebration of Damond’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Howe
Mortuary Chapel in Longmont.
A luncheon will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 3435 Brunner Blvd
Johnstown, CO following.
In lieu of flowers, please remember Damond with a donation to his family, for a charity to be designated later.
