An absolute ray of sunshine, Daniel was born on November 15, 1994, in Longmont, Colorado. From a young age, he was known for his playful spirit and for teasing his siblings, whom he adored and fiercely protected. His siblings described him as the best big brother anyone could ask for. Family meant everything to Daniel, and he cherished time spent together, always capturing special moments through photos and videos to preserve the memories he loved so deeply.
Daniel graduated from high school and proudly built a career as a street supervisor with Ace Express Coaches (Bustang). In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, shopping, driving, spending time with friends and family, and sleeping in, most of all he enjoyed the finer things in life.
Those who knew Daniel describe him as protective, inspirational, forgiving, and respectful. He was a ray of light—generous, stylish, adventurous, unconditionally supportive, goofy, sassy, bougie, sweet, and caring. A gentle giant with a diva flair, Daniel was thoughtful, loyal, a natural leader, and an innovator whose presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Carmelita “Carmen” Huerta; stepfather, Jery Huerta; father Gregorio Macias; stepmother, Jami Leeane Macias; siblings Aryanna Macias, David Arzola, Alejandro “Alex” Arzola, Alexandrea G. Macias, Victoria A. Macias; his loving grandparents Carlos and Virginia Murillo and Nicholas Macias; his nephew Apollo and niece Novaleigh; his cherished fur-nieces, Ellie, Bella, Luna, and Gaz; and all those who were blessed to know and love Daniel.
