

Daniel was born on January 3, 1925 in Villa Escobedo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Marcelo Rangel and Candelaria Layzola. He was raised in Camargo, Chihuahua and married Julia De La Cerda. The couple then moved to Juarez, Mexico and raised five children. In Juarez, Daniel was a taxi driver.
Daniel then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he lived for forty-five years. In Albuquerque, he was a weaver in the textile industry where he made blankets. Daniel then moved to Rifle and Grand Junction, Colorado where he worked in a warehouse. He finally moved to Longmont where he retired and lived near his family.
Mr. Rangel is survived by three children: Patricia Giles, Javier Rangel and Daniel Rangel. He is also survived by a large extended family that will miss him.
Visitation will be held at Howe Mortuary on Saturday, March 12 from 9:00 to 1:00 and on Monday from 9:00 to 1:00. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14 at Howe Mortuary. Burial will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
