David Norman Barclay

David Norman Barclay, 70, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016 at TRU Hospice Care Center in Louisville, CO.He was born November 11, 1945 in Twin Falls, Idaho to David and Georgie (Sudderth) Barclay.David graduated from Cheyenne Central High School in 1963 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wyoming, Class of 1971.He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1963. In 1965 he saw duty in Vietnam aboard the USS Mullany. He was honorably discharged in 1966.On April 26, 1980 he married Holly Ann Howell in Boulder, CO. They have made their home in Longmont since 1991.David was a facilities engineer for Coors, IBM, Honeywell, Storage Tek and the Department of Defense. He retired in 2014.David enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, singing and acting. He was involved with community theater groups, including Longmont Theater Company. He also attended the Calvary Church in Longmont.He was preceded in death by his parents.David is survived by his wife Holly, his sons, David John Barclay (Carol) and Nathaniel Grant Barclay (Stephanie); his daughter Alison Howell Barclay (Jerry Smith); his sister Linda Kay Barclay; and grandchildren, Adeline Belle Barclay, Austin David Barclay and Tyler Barclay.Memorial services will be held 1:30pm Friday, February 5, 2016 at Calvary Church.
