David Leroy Trevarton

David Leroy Trevarton entered into rest on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the age of 80. Dave was a Colorado native born on April 3, 1945 in Boulder, Colorado to Lloyd R. Trevarton and Betty Lou Summers.

Dave married his wife, Janice Hansen, on June 20, 1966 in Wray Colorado. Together, they had 3 children, Vicki, Chris, and David.

Dave was a lifelong resident of Boulder County. He owned and operated Gateway Storage and Salvage and later, D + J Cameos Trucks and Car Salvage at 260 S. Sunset Street in Longmont.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Betty Lou Trevarton; step-father, Alton Hazel; brothers, Jessie Hudson, Joan Hudson, and Vernon Hazel; sister, Verna Hinchley; sisters-in-law, Lenore Hazel, Annette Hazel, and Kellie Hazel; brother-in-law, Ronald Gunther, daughter, Vicki Smith; and grandson, Tyler Trevarton.

Dave is survived by his wife, Janice Trevarton; sons, Chris and David Trevarton; sisters, Nyla Gunther, Cindy Mosqueda, and Brenda (Mike) Gentry; brothers, Alton Hazel, Steve Hazel, Kenneth Hazel, and Glenn Hazel; and sister-in-law Birdie Hazel. Dave is also survived also survived by 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 3pm at Howe Mortuary & Crematory, 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado.
