Dear Dennis,  It's been 4 years since you left this earth.  And, yet, still, each time I go into the garden, I hear your spirit in the wind and feel it in the  soil, see your smiles in the sunshine, and remember your gentleness & kind spirit in the rain.  Miss you, dear one!

I may have written this before, so if I have, please forgive.
   Dennison worked for us for about 10 years in landscaping and doing other odd  jobs.  During that time, over a cup of tea, we learned some things about his life.  We, (my husband and I were both
therapists) marveled at his generous spirit, his sense of humor and
appreciation of life's oddities!
    At that time we had a cat that he was particularly fond of.  Gracey.
She was a tiger and she liked him also.  He would sit on the steps to
the living room where she liked to sit, and pet her.  Quietly.
Gracey, like Dennison is gone.  My life is less rich.  I am upset that he
died so young.  I miss him.  Always will.

I miss you dear brother, you comforted me when I lose a pet.  You would always say, don't worry sister, Grandma will take care of them for you.  I feel better knowing you are taking care of my fur babies now.  We come from a long time of animal lovers.  I will miss our exchanges of birthday cards.  I will miss your quirkiness.  I hope you are very happy to be with your loved ones again.  Till we meet again. Great big polar bear hug to you!

Dennis, I can't go into my garden without thinking of you.  Your time on this earth was simply too short.  I am so glad I visited you that week before you passed, but so sad I missed you for one last visit the day before you were gone.  I look back and smile when I think of our conversations, how you were a man of few words.  I always had to try to piece together the flow of your thoughts.  I never felt I could trust someone the way I could trust you...so honest.  And, when that smile would break out, it was like a piece of sunshine.  Rest in peace, knowing you deserve that peace. Thank you for always being a friend, brother, uncle, grandpa, and a great believer in Christ. You  grew up in difficult life but turned it into a better life for your loved ones.  Thank you for being where the lord has instructed you to care and love your family and friends. 
You were in pain but you put your loved ones first.  You will always be a great brother/uncle.

We will always cherish our many memories of time with you Dennison! There will always be a plate at our table for all the loved ones who have gone home & we look forward to joining you once again when we are freed from this earth! We love you!!

Dennison worked for us for about ten years.  He did a lot of yard 
work;  helped me cover my 20 Bonsai plants for the winter and un-
cover them in the Spring-- an activity he enjoyed so much.  He liked
Gracey cat and often petted her....Annabelle, the Corgi...not so much!  Ten years!  Can you imagine what fortitude, commitment and energy that took?  I was always so grateful for him.  He will be
