

He was born on November 9, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, to Donald A. Perry Sr. and Mary E. (Black) Perry. Don graduated from Chaminade High School in Dayton in 1964. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Ohio University in Athens, and later obtained a Master’s Degree in Taxation from the University of Denver.
A dedicated and respected professional, Don was a practicing CPA for over 50 years. He was an astute and talented businessman who took great pride in cultivating strong personal and professional relationships throughout his career.
Don married the love of his life, Elaine Marie Stafford, on May 11, 1974. The couple moved from Dayton, Ohio, to Longmont, Colorado, in August 1974, where they built a life filled with family, friendships, and cherished memories.
Before moving to Berthoud, Don was a resident of Niwot, Colorado, for 32 years. He was passionate about baseball and coached his sons' teams in Niwot Youth Sports. He enjoyed fly fishing and golf, and looked forward each year to mountain golf trips and fly-fishing adventures.
He was immensely proud of his sons, Patrick (Laura) Perry and Michael (Caitlin) Perry, and adored his grandchildren, Presley and Declan (Patrick’s children) and Clara (Michael’s child). He is also survived by his sister, Barbara (Larry) Kincaid.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary.
