At age 11, Donna and the family moved to McHenry, IL where she attended St. Mary’s Catholic School, and graduated from McHenry Community High School. Donna then went on to attend Community College in Elgin, IL. On October 9, 1978, she married Charles Fernandez. They divorced in 1996.
Donna worked as a nursing assistant for a number of years at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center. In 2012, she relocated to Longmont from South Carolina.
Preceding Donna in death are her parents. Her brothers David Patryas and his wife Linda of Longmont and Ron Patryas and his wife Denise of Livermore survive her. She is further survived by her nieces Stacy Masi and Marissa Howell of St. Augustine, FL and 8 grandnieces and grandnephews.
Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Crematory. No services are scheduled at this time.
