

Doris I. Ankrum Anderson went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 21, 2020. She was born on August 21, 1927 in Carrington, North Dakota to John W. and Lillian Ankrum. She and her twin sister, Dora, older brother, Ken, and younger brother Ed lived together on a small country farm in central North Dakota. Those times were both fun and challenging. Doris was responsible for feeding the chickens on the farm and collecting their eggs. She also helped her mom with the household chores.In 1968, Doris married Ronald Anderson and they made their home in Heaton, ND until his passing in 1995. She then moved to Loveland, CO to be close to the rest of her family. Doris is survived by her brother, Edward Ankrum (Sherry) of Loveland; nieces, Tammi Paulson (J ), Kim Bell (Brett), and Vaunette Alrick (Wess); nephew, Ben Ankrum (Rosemary); and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-seven years, Ronald (Whitey) Anderson; brother, Kenneth Ankrum; sister, Dora Ankrum; and nephew, Rick Ankrum. A Celebration of Doris' Life will be held at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry Street, Longmont, CO at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, officiated by family friend and pastor, Dennis Miller. Reception will follow the Celebration of Life at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Interment will take place later in North Dakota at the family cemetery in Heaton in May.
