
Douglas Delbert Gunderson of Longmont, Colorado died April 9, 2008 at Longmont United Hospital. He was 70.Doug was born September 4, 1937 in Sargeant, Minnesota to Albert Eugene and Dora Ida Alvina (Cramer) Gunderson. Doug had lived in Colorado since 1946 and in Longmont for 25 years. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business and then his Master's Degree from the Denver University.Doug served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1961 and served time in Germany. He was discharged with the rank of Specialist 4th Class. Doug married Mary Lourice Greer on June 14, 1963 in Denver, Colorado.Doug worked in the Concrete business for many years. He worked in both the Denver and Golden area and in Albuquerque, New Mexico for six years. Doug was a ""workaholic"" who owned his own business for a couple of years and was in management until 1984. Doug enjoyed doing stream fishing.Doug was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lourice in 2005, and a brother, Curtis. Surviving are his son, Leif Eric Gunderson and his wife Kami of Hale, Michigan; three grandchildren: Christian, Tyler, and Brianna; and a brother, Dennis Gunderson and his wife Kathryn of Sequim, Washington.A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Park in Boulder with David Bradshaw officiating.
