

Edna was born in rural Platteville, Colorado on April 24, 1918 to Clarence D. Moore and Gladys Hildamae Fenton Moore. She later moved to rural Longmont in 1929 and to Denver in 1933. She graduated from Denver West High School.
She married Benjamin Lesser on November 28, 1937 in rural Longmont.
Edna became a farm wife and homemaker. Her husband retired in 1970 and they moved to Longmont. Mrs. Lesser was an avid reader and enjoyed keeping up with current events. She was a member of First Congregational Church, since 1947 and was active in the Women’s Fellowship. She was a 50 year member, Charter Member, of Liberty Hall Grange where she held several offices and serving as secretary for over 20 years. She was also active in the Head Start Program, as both an employee and later a volunteer. She also volunteered at the OUR Center Childcare.
Preceding in death were her husband; a son James S. Lesser; a brother Jim Moore; and sisters Ella Mae Deborski and Doris Leinweber..
Surviving are her daughter Mary Ann Barnes of Ft. Lupton; sisters Vida Ranum of Westminster and Ruth Schneider of Greeley and brother David Sullivan of Ignacio,
grandchildren Timothy, Kim, Dwayne and Rick Barnes; and great grandchildren Matthew, Joshua, Sarah, Brittney and Taylor Barnes.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 6 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., both at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
