World's Greatest Mom and GrandmaElaine A. (Nissen) Ray, 90, of Longmont passed away September 20, 2016. She was born August 27, 1926 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Clifford and Anna Emma (Bender) Finch.Elaine married John Nissen in 1946 and they had eight children together.Her life was devoted to her children and family.She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Clifford Finch, two sisters; Victorine Damon and Vivalore Morales and a grandson Richie (Richard) Nissen Jr.Elaine is survived by seven sons, Michael Nissen (Linda), Richard Nissen (Patty), Robin Nissen (Marlayne), Randy Nissen, Johnny Nissen, Jeff Nissen (Lorrie), Tracy Nissen (Cheri); a daughter Lavina Vohlken (Jim); a brother Ronnie Finch (Helen); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.Memorial service will be held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016 at LifeBridge Christian Church located at 10345 Ute Hwy (Hwy 66) Longmont, CO 80504. Private inurnment at a later time. Contributions can be made to Community Advantage and sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
