Hospice Care. She had reached the age of 89 years.
Eleanor was born on April 12, 1933 in Goldsboro, North Carolina to Huron R. and Lola Mae (Newell) Norris. She worked at Robinson’s Drug store after graduating from Goldsboro High School. It was at the drugstore that she met a young Marine, Harold E. TePoel. They married January 7, 1953 then moved to Wheatland, Wyoming. They relocated to Erie, Colorado in 1967. During their 62 years together, before Harold’s death in 2015, Eleanor pursued homemaking, volunteering, and lifelong learning. She was known for her cooking and entertaining, master canning/food preparation, sewing, crocheting, painting, caregiving, and love of art and nature.
She is survived by her beloved daughters Kathryn TePoel of Erie and Karen TePoel of Jacksonville, Oregon. No services will be held at Eleanor’s request. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Memories and condolences are welcome at www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com.
