
Eli D. Litt passed away September 18, 2012 at his residence. He was 77.Eli was born November 5, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA to Aaron and Sophia (Mind) Litt. He grew up with his younger brother in philly spending much time in their parents soda fountain shop while he and his brother tried to stay out of trouble. After attending Temple University he married his longtime girl friend Carole Rosen on September 15, 1957 in Philadelphia, PA. They settled in Vineland New Jersey in 1960 and raised their three children. Eli was a biology and science teacher at the Junior and Senior High Schools in the Vineland, New Jersey school system. After retiring in 1989, retirement in Florida was in order with many, many trips to Longmont through the years to visit the grandkidsHe was of the Jewish faith attending the Beth Israel Synagogue Congregation in Vineland.Eli enjoyed playing tennis, sailing, camping, woodworking and especially building things for his grandkids. His fascination with science and technology carried on well after his teaching days. He never forgot his roots as a long time Eagles and Phillies fan.He was preceded in death by his parents.Eli is survived by his wife Carole; two sons Allen (Delcia) Litt of Erie, CO and Barry (Julie) Litt of Longmont, CO; his daughter Robin Litt of Mill Valley, CA; his brother Dr. Irwin Litt; and four grandchildren K n, Mikayla, Haley, and Jamie.A memorial service will take place 10:30 AM Friday September 21, 2012 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
