Fleta Grace Hathaway

Fleta Grace McCormick Hathaway, born September 21, 1935 in Palisade, Nebraska, passed from this life into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, December 11, 2015. This loving wife, nurturing mother, wise Bible teacher, sweet friend, and steadfast disciple of Jesus will be deeply missed by her friends, family and the many who benefited from her teaching, love and example.Fleta's greatest loves were her Lord Jesus and her family. In 1955, she married the love of her life, Bob Hathaway, and they lived most of their 60 happy years of marriage in Boulder, CO and Apache Junction, AZ. She devoted much of her life to studying and teaching God's word and led weekly Bible studies for decades with many different groups and ministries. She was involved with Bible Study Fellowship in Boulder for nearly 40 years. She was also a woman of prayer, praying for every member of her family every day.This kind and generous woman also loved music, gardening, flowers, sewing, canning, birds and horses. She escorted grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the children of friends on countless golf cart rides. She tirelessly, deeply and sweetly loved her beloved Bob, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.Fleta is survived by her husband, Bob Hathaway; her daughters and their spouses, Carol and Bill Hathaway-Clark of Longmont, CO and Cynthia Eakins Zwart and Boyd Zwart also of Longmont; her brother Jim McCormick of Boulder, CO; her sister Julia Kneebone of Lafayette, CO;her grandchildren and their spouses, Benjamin and Alicia Eakins of Mountain View, CO, Daniel and Georgiana Eakins of Brasov, Romania, Timothy and Leanna Eakins of Lakewood, CO, Jamison and Jaci Hathaway-Clark of Portland, ME, Lee Eakins of Longmont, CO and Lucas Hathaway-Clark of Longmont, CO. She was also blessed with 6 beautiful great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 1820 15th St. Boulder, CO on Monday, Dec 21st at 3pm.
