Grandpa I love and miss you dearly. I don’t know why the good lord took you from us so early but I’m sure he had bigger plans for you. I do wish you were still here today. I remember going to your house spending time with you as a young boy. I’m sorry I didn’t act better. My really only regret was not spending more time with you before you had to go. I want to pick up on your black smithing with the rings. I want to keep what you started alive and going, I just need direction grandpa. I know your up with god so if you can talk with him on him helping guide me where you left off I would be ever so honored. I can’t wait until the day I get to see you again.

My sister just forwarded me Slim's obituary; I am very sad to hear that he has passed away.  I am the daughter of his 'adopted' brother Phil Howard who was very close with Slim's family.  The last time I saw Slim was probably about 20 years ago and I had absolutely no idea where he had been living. I wish I would have taken the energy and time to find out. Our condolences to his family; if you read this drop me a note and say hello.  Slim and his first wife lived in the Boar's Nest with my mom and dad (Cathy and Phil) and I have several childhood memories of my family visiting his ranch in Morrison, CO and looking for trouble with the boys! Heaven opened its gates and called home Slim.  He lives! Both there and in our memories and in the wonderful tools he created. Coffee and coal smoke, impossibly long days and the magic of learning how metal moves, given a little heat and coaxing all made   Skunk Hollow Forge both the university and church of blacksmithing. Safe journey Slim! Those early years['96-'97] of research + development were magickal times.Besides being a showman par excellence Slim's real genius was using his hands working metals. Dear Katerina & Family:It was my distinct honor to meet and converse with Slim in the summer of 2005 at Patty's Virginia farm.  What a kind and gentle soul! What a warm, loving gentle man he was in life.  Since he is there, I'm sure that ""Heaven"" has much less polution now than it did.  I'll just bet that those eyes are still sparkling as I saw them and that he's working on his NEXT invention.  I can't wait!

Slim was the instigator of the 'Boar's Nest' where seven of us lived in Fort Collins while attending CSU.  The 'Nest' started in 1959 and lasted many years.  The group of us shared a lot of memories over the years.

Altho I've never met Slim, I learned about & started to use some of his products about 12years ago after a Flower of Life wkend & they have helped me so much.  He is one who has left the world a better place & may all of you who were close to him be comforted by that and the knowledge that he w/be w/you to comfort & check up on you often. I've came across Slim's invention from Drunvalo Melchizedek's ""Flower of Life"" books. Being a scientist and an engineer, I know there is something ""Out There."" Just beyond our perceptions of the everyday world there's a presence, or force, that's at once both mysterious and comforting. We talk about it. We feel it. Sometimes, I see it. Silm's inventions have opened up my mind what is possible with our thoughts and imagination. One after another, most of my friends in Hong Kong now are experimenting with Slim's Life Light Tools, in healing and environmental clearing applications. I have just received the Storm Chaser last week and is now activated 24-7 with the Environmental Clearing CD in my living room, with other Environmental Harmonizer in my Study Room bein also activated, in memory of Slim Spurling's desire to heal up the earth and humanity. Slim is one of the world's most generous and wise spirits.  He will be remembered for his concern, his honesty and diligence, his solutions, his wisdom and mostly his advocacy for truth and a great love of nature to be at its healthiest and most vital state.  His voice and care were needed - he is cherished with great respect and honored as a dowser and steward of earth.  Katharina is the twinkle in his eye.

The last time I saw Slim was a chance meeting at a Whole Foods store near Denver, CO.  He and Katharina walked into the store as I sat with friends having lunch outside.   What a privilidge it was to sit and talk with Slim as he shared his brilliance, joy and grace.  Dear Katharina, my love and prayers go out to you as I remember your gentle heart and radiant smile.  Slim's work will flourish with your guidance and light.

I have not actually met Slim, but I have met Katherina (at Madi Nolan's workshop).  I have, however, studied whatever I could of Slim's teachings and wisdom, and I feel the world is a poorer place for his passing.  What a brilliant, dedicated and compassionate man he was.  My love and prayers to all his family, and my thanks for sharing him.

Even though I never met Slim in person I feel a deep sense of loss. Although he'll be doing his work in another dimension, his presence is sorely missed in this one. He was a great blessing to us all.

Often being in direct correspondece with Slim i always left our conversations feeling so blessed. I have many of Slim's inventions throughout our home and love my harmonizer.  I will truely miss our conversations but realize leaving this 3D plane is part of the reality.  May your journey home be one of love, light and laughter. Slim has touched my life on a daily basis since I first met him at his seminar. Bless you Slim for being a gift to the world. I did not have the honor of meeting Mr. Spurling in person, however, I knew him through the tools I bought from him and the things I read about him on the internet. I would have liked to have known him personally. I will honor him by continuing to use the tools I have with appreciation for his gift of healing that he shared with everyone he touched through his work.

I've been sitting here in front of a blank screen looking to figure out how I can describe someone as wonderful as Slim Spurling. It says I have 1,000 characters, which in a way is very fitting as he is both someone who possesses 1,000 times the character of many fellow humans and 1,000 infinitely interesting 'characters' rolled up into one unforgettable and truly magical person. I had heard of Slim Spurling through Drunvalo's work, so  when Slim came to speak and exhibit at the Water Conference here a couple of years ago, I made sure to attend. I was impressed with the intensity of Slim's search for ways of continually increasing the effectiveness of his tools. The harmonizer that I got then has been residing on a round table in the center of my living room ever since--and the size and health of the plants in that room are strong indicators of its effectiveness.I am sad to hear of his passing. At the same time I am grateful that he has been with us this long.  I am one of many, many beneficiaries of his wisdom and inventiveness.God speed!

We are so greatful for the many things Slim has taught us. We still are learning from him by using and applying the little we have understood from his knowledge. Our thoughts and prayers are with Katharina, and everyone else who knows and loves Slim. Till we meet again!

What Slim has brought to the world has changed the lives of many.  I am priviledged to witness his legacy live on in every life that is touched because he believed everyone can learn how to dowse. I did a workshop with Slim in the UK in 2005. He had a beautiful soul and was a man with so much heart and so much inspiration. His tools are used daily.  He left his footprint on my soul as he did on so many.  Our thoughts are with Katarina, his family and friends. He will be missed.

Slim"", a stranger to me at the time, gave me a ride near Frederick a couple of years ago while I was walking to the store during a deep freeze. He waited while I went in to shop, then gave me a ride back home. He was is unique and caring soul whose physical presence will be missed.
