It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son George Roche Jr. on March 25th at his home in Longmont, at the age of 66. Born on July 19, 1959, in Galesburg, IL. George filled our lives with love from the moment he came into the world.
He was curious and intelligent from a young age; George always had an artistic flair and a great sense of humor. George attended the University of Kansas and became a lifelong (and avid) fan of Jayhawk Basketball.
George worked for most of his life running his own business as a Graphic Artist/Designer. While art was a passion, with a special love for comic illustration. George also loved the outdoors and his beloved dog, Sawyer. His love of outdoors and hiking is what brought him to Colorado 40+ years ago where he made his home and a community of friends that became his extended family.
George is survived by his parents, George Sr. and Lois, along with his brothers Andrew and Dan.
The Roche family wishes to thank all those who helped us in the past few days as we deal with our loss. Your support has meant the world to us all.
Per George’s wishes there will be a private service. George always said that he did not want anyone to cry at his passing, but wanted us to have laughter in our hearts. All friends and family are welcome to visit www.howemortuary.com for George, to share your memories and thoughts.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson research.
