George was born on June 28, 1932 in Logan, Kansas to George Henry Sr. and Rose Ruff. He was raised in Logan, graduating from Logan High School.
George married Gayl Gamble Ruff on May 7, 2007. Together they lived a life of love. They celebrated their 13th anniversary this year. He was the proud father of two wonderful children, Todd (Janice) Ruff and Holly (Mike) Burns and two amazing step-children, Amy Gamble and Tom Gamble. He absolutely adored his beautiful twin granddaughters, Karli and Kaylin Burns.
George worked for much of his life as a firefighter in the Denver Fire Department. He was also self-employed, and had his own painting business. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and loved to go fishing.
George is survived by his wife, children, step-children and grandchildren.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, October 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry Street, Longmont, CO 80501.
